Alcohol/drug/substance abuse is becoming an increasing danger in our nation. Studies show that even school children are attracted to liquor, narcotic substances and tobacco products. A significant proportion of these young people eventually get addicted posing a threat to their own health and safety, while creating untold distress to their families and the public at large.

The Anti Drug Club (ADC) is a club to control and address the hazard of substance abuse among youngsters especially college students. Government Degree College Sugh- Bhatoli anticipates every student of the college to be focused towards a particular goal and ingenious in protecting the wellbeing of younger generations against consuming weeds, drugs, alcohol and any sort of substance abuse. The activities of the club include boundless programmes through awareness lectures, public rallies, competitions, poster exhibitions, organizing campaigns etc. The club also associates with the IQAC, Counseling Cell, NSS unit, Rovers and Rangers unit, Eco and Energy Clubs, discipline committee and other units of the college to provide counseling support, moral guidelines etc to needy students. In addition to this, the local administration and Police Department makes joint endeavors to address the problems related to drug abuse. The club supports the energetic meditations by Government, NGOs, De-Addiction Centres etc for a drug free society.

Substance abuse has become an alarming health crisis on college campuses across the nation. Considering the issue in the present scenario, and in compliance with the Director of Higher Education Letter No. EDN-HE (21) F (9) 07/2023-Drug, dated 17th Feb. 2023, Govt. Degree College Sugh- Bhatoli, extended the activities of Anti- Drug and Prahari Club from the session 2022-23. The club activities were initiated to prevent substance abuse - addictive behaviors in the campus in the session 2016-17.

Mission

- To spread awareness to ensure a drug/ substance free campus.
- To engage the students in anti-drug activities.
- Motivate students to become volunteers of anti-drug activities in their life.
- Ensure no sale of drugs or alcohol in college premises.

- Purify and strengthen the personality through guidance against Drugs.
